Earn Your CPRC and a Seat at the Table

Earning your CPRC is a mark of professional distinction that identifies you as an expert in providing ethical and strategic public relations counsel and advice.

Professionals with 10 or more years of practical experience are eligible to earn the CPRC designation. Pursuing the CPRC credential is a two-step process: presenting a case study to a panel of current CPRCs and successfully completing a comprehensive written exam. The CPRC exam builds upon the APR (Accredited in Public Relations) certification and is a second-tier credential in support of lifelong learning and professional development.

FPRA members who earn their CPRC are eligible to join the Florida Public Relations Counselors’ Network (CN) and participate in select professional development opportunities and networking events.

The Orlando FPRA chapter offers a variety of resources to support CPRC candidates through the credentialing process. For more information, contact Pam Nulman, APR, CPRC at pam@nulmanmediation.com or Melissa Zayas-Moreno, APR at mzmoreno23@gmail.com.

I loved the CPRC process, and — believe it or not — it was fun. The oral and written exam allowed me to test my public relations knowledge without the limitations and pressure that our everyday work typically requires, such as a tight budget or lack of staff to implement the plan. The situations presented in the exam provided great practice for thinking on my feet and offering valuable solutions. And, by passing the exam, I’ve boosted my confidence. Now that I’ve earned my CPRC, I’m also part of FPRA’s Counselor’s Network, a forum for senior-level public relations practitioners, which opens the door for additional networking and learning opportunities during special events that are exclusive to network members.
