Our chapter is pleased to honor the incredible public relations practitioners and organizations making a difference in our industry. Learn more about our Chapter awards below.

Roger Pynn Award for Career Excellence and ImPRess Award

The Roger Pynn Award for Career Excellence– the most prestigious honor bestowed by our chapter – recognizes a local professional for a lifetime of leadership and outstanding contributions to the field of public relations.

This award was renamed in 2023 after Roger Pynn, APR, CPRC, a longtime chapter member and supporter who in 1984 co-founded Curley & Pynn Public Relations Management, Orlando’s first public relations agency. After being a member of FPRA for nearly 50 years and earning this prestigious award in 1987, Roger continues to give back through mentorship, volunteering, and philanthropy.

ImPRess Award for Professional Achievement

Our ImPRess Award for Professional Achievement celebrates a trailblazer who has achieved an unprecedented or extraordinary milestone in their career or has left a lasting mark or impression on the Central Florida community.

To nominate a professional worthy of either recognition, please send a link to their LinkedIn profile or online resume, and a short essay explaining their qualifications to the chapter’s immediate past president, Jose Luis Dieppa at joseluisdieppa@gmail.com.

Essays should address how this nominee demonstrates the qualities of an ideal candidate, as outlined below.

Nominations are due no later than Friday, May 31, 2024.
