NOW HIRING - SPRING 2027 INTERN

The Intern of the FPRA Orlando Area Chapter is responsible for assisting the Board of Directors in achieving Chapter goals for the current year and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Chapter overall.

This position gives students first-hand experience working with and contributing to the work of a nonprofit organization’s Board of Directors, specifically the programs and initiatives created for the betterment of the Chapter’s membership.

This position is filled each semester via an interview process conducted by the Chapter’s Vice President of Student Outreach and/or leadership, and reports to the Vice President of Student Outreach throughout the semester.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Assist the FPRA Orlando Board of Directors with various tasks for the Chapter’s day-to-day operations – including research, planning, implementation and evaluation – for various programming areas.  

  • Support the management of monthly Chapter professional development events by conducting vendor research and coordination, event set-up and break-down, and writing recaps for the FPRA Orlando blog. 

  • Engage in promotional and content planning via researching trends, supporting content calendars, providing live event updates on the Chapter’s social channels and reporting research findings from Chapter surveys and other tools. 

  • Support ongoing social media content planning, creation and development.

  • Attend, engage and participate in virtual monthly Board of Directors meetings.  

  • Work with the Chapter Vice President of Student Outreach to manage workload and available project opportunities. 

Hours, Compensation and Location: 

  • One (1) full semester, estimating approx. 10-15 hours per week (will vary depending on Chapter activities). 

  • A $320 stipend is paid upon successful completion of the semester internship.

  • In exchange of service, the FPRA Orlando Area Chapter will also provide one (1) full year student (or student-to-professional) membership. 

  • Complimentary admission to monthly Chapter programs (when applicable) within the current semester of service. 

  • Remote position (except when attending in-person monthly programs).
