Orlando Area Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association recognizes local professionals with top annual awards
ORLANDO, Fla., June 26, 2024 – The Orlando Area Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association, also known as FPRA Orlando, is excited to announce the recipients of its prestigious annual awards.
This year’s Roger Pynn Award for Career Excellence was awarded to Bob O’Malley, APR – president at Right Track Affairs. This award is the most respected honor given by FPRA Orlando each year and recognizes a local professional for a lifetime of leadership and outstanding contributions to the field of public relations. O’Malley has demonstrated excellent career achievement spanning 20 years in the PR profession. He has a track record of successfully navigating complex public policy issues, managing high-profile crisis situations, and progressing multi-jurisdictional transportation infrastructure projects. Bob provides government relations, business development, public affairs, and strategic communications counsel to clients in the transportation industry. Bob is a two-time graduate of the University of Central Florida and is accredited in public relations (APR). He is also a Past President of the Orlando Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association. In addition to his role as a consultant, Bob serves as a City Commissioner in the City of Altamonte Springs, where he lives with his wife and three children.
In addition, FPRA Orlando recognized the winner of the ImPRess Award for Professional Achievement, which honors a public relations trailblazer in the Central Florida community. This year’s winner is Andy Wontor of Seminole County Government. Wontor serves as public information division manager and was recognized for her leadership by developing integrated public relations campaigns and strategies that focus on keeping Seminole County residents safe and informed. For the last several years, she has been enhancing public outreach efforts and adoptions for Seminole County Animal Services. Since taking over the social media channels in June of 2022, the organization’s Facebook page has reached an audience of 1.1 million. Wontor is a graduate from the University of Florida with a degree in Telecommunications.

Each winner will be formally recognized at this year’s FPRA Orlando Member Celebration and Board Installation, taking place Wednesday, July 31, at the Historic Dubsdread Ballroom in College Park. Guests can register to attend here.
