September President’s PRoclaimer Message

As we mark the unofficial end of summer, we also begin an exciting new chapter for the Orlando Chapter of FPRA. With a fresh Board year ahead of us, I am thrilled to welcome our new board members who bring incredible energy, talent, and ideas.

At the end of August, we hosted our annual board retreat, and I left inspired by the enthusiasm in the room. This year promises to be filled with opportunities to grow, to connect, and celebrate the value of our profession. I am truly excited to serve alongside such a dedicated and talented group of leaders.

Following the vision of our state president, we are focusing this year on growth: growth of our chapter, growth of our members through enriching opportunities, and engaging the next generation of communications professionals. Our goal is to ensure every member feels welcomed, engaged, and involved.

Our Board is already working on amazing programming and initiatives for the year ahead, and we want your input! What programs, opportunities, or experiences would you like to see this year? Your voice will help shape how we serve one another and elevate our chapter.

On a personal note, my family and I are looking forward to welcoming a new baby girl very soon. I’ll be taking a few weeks to enjoy this special time, so please know that while it may take me a little longer to respond, our chapter will be in excellent hands. Our president-elect, past president, and the rest of the board are ready to support you and keep things running smoothly.

I look forward to an incredible year ahead with all of you. Let’s make it one of growth, connection, and inspiration!
