On top of winning epic football games, you don’t become “The Future of College Football” without a strong internal team. Aligning on messaging, content and strategy is more important than ever in public relations – and UCF’s Content and Strategic Communications teams have consistently delivered both on their owned channels and in earned media. During this keynote presentation, Eric DeSalvo, Associate Athletics Director – #Content, will share the keys to success for brands to win “off the field” with seamless collaboration and brand alignment.

Breakout #1: Keys to Transforming Your Organization from the Inside Out

Internal communication is a significant component of marketing and branding efforts, and with a dedicated team behind it, companies can transform employees into brand advocates who can speak accurately on behalf of the brand. Collaboration with the external communication team is imperative to achieve ultimate results for your team.

Presented by:

  • Kelly Ferris, APR, Senior Communications Manager, Enterprise Technology, The Walt Disney Company

Breakout #2: Generating Media Results Through Eye-Catching Content

We've all heard the saying, “content is king,” but when it comes to generating media interest through brand content, Justin Buzzi from Get Up And Go Kayaking knows the power of that saying firsthand. After starting his business in 2017, Justin's self-taught photography and videography on Instagram caught the eye of a journalist at Business Insider, leading to 125 million+ views across different social media platforms and the company website crashing from skyrocketing consumer traffic. And the press attention didn't stop there ... media powerhouses Buzzfeed, Travel + Leisure, Yahoo!, Lonely Planet and more all came calling to cover Justin’s brand based on the allure of his content. In this breakout session, Justin will give attendees his keys to success when creating brand content that leads to press results.
