Happy Holidays, Gratitude, Time to Connect, Fellowship, and Appreciate
My life purpose consists of four simple ideas: love people, be grateful, give generously, and make a difference. As I write this update, I am so very grateful for so much.
It’s been a wonderful first half of my term as your chapter president, largely because of the wonderful people that serve on our board. As we move through the holiday season, I am grateful for these wonderful relationships and the depth of character that each person brings to their role in serving each of you.
Last week we had our last member reception for 2024 and the turnout was incredible. It was nice to meet many new members and celebrate the season with good friends.
So, this month I simply want to say thank you for being an important part of our chapter. The Orlando Chapter sets a high bar for others to learn from throughout the state. We sailed past our membership goal this year and continue to see new people join each month. You’ve turned out and ensured each of our programs this year have been sold out. Your generosity was evident during Giving Tuesday when we raised more than $1,700 for student scholarships, smashing our goals for this year.
I hope each of you has a wonderful holiday season. I would encourage everyone to reach out to one another, share a good thought, compliment or just a “Hey, how’s it going?” Those simple efforts might be just the touch point someone needs that day. It’s all about the relationships and what we pour into them.
Thank you for all you do. All the best.
