January’s President’s PRoclaimer Message

Happy New Year! I wish for you and your loved ones a year full of adventure, health, happiness and opportunity.  

Our year started with an amazing community outreach program. On Friday, Jan. 6, FPRA Orlando and PRSA Orlando hosted the inaugural PR Paid Forward Orlando event to give back to the Orlando community by providing Central Florida nonprofits with pro bono strategic communication counsel.  Together, we served 10 local nonprofits in our community. Thank you, to our volunteers and board members who played a key role in this event. Special thanks to, Ali Beemer, APR. We are grateful for your leadership and your commitment to our Central Florida community.  In the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. “Everybody can be great…because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”  

Our chapter has many exciting events coming up, including our Image Awards gala in April and our signature Media Mashup in June. In addition, we will be hosting several member-only events and professional development programs. Make sure to follow our social media pages for all the details.
