Give a brief explanation of your job.
I oversee and manage all aspects of external and internal communications, strategic communications, media relations, crisis communications, social media, community relations and special events at Kissimmee Utility Authority.

How long have you been a member of FPRA and why did you join?
I joined the Lake County Chapter of FPRA in 2019. I joined because I had just made the transition from TV journalism to public relations, and I had heard so many great things about the resources, training and networking opportunities offered through FPRA.

What has been your favorite FPRA event or experience so far?
So far, my favorite FPRA experience has been meeting so many great PR professional spanning various industries and being given the opportunity to learn with them and from them.

Tell us about an exciting achievement (personal or professional).
A recent exciting achievement was winning the American Public Power Association’s Excellence in Public Power Communications Award for KUA’s 2022 Calendar of Energy Conservation.

What was your first job?
In my first job I was a news reporter at WILX, the NBC affiliate in Lansing, Michigan.

What's one fun fact about you?
I was captain of the Highland Park High School Varsity Girls Golf Team back in the day! GO GIANTS!
