November’s President’s PRoclaimer Message
By FPRA Orlando President José Luis Dieppa
Hola FPRA Orlando!
The last few weeks have been difficult for our members and community. Many of them worked around the clock helping their organizations navigate the challenges brought by the recent storms. As we continue our recovery, please don’t hesitate to reach out to any of our chapter board of directors if there’s anything we can do to better serve you during this time.
Due to the recent storm we had to postpone our PR Paid Forward program in partnership with PRSA Orlando. We are working to reschedule the event
The season of giving and gratitude is here. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. A time to come together and enjoy some delicious food with our loved ones. I have so much to be thankful for, including our incredible chapter.
The beginning of this festive season marks the end of FPRA’s renewal campaign, and I’m excited to report that your FPRA Orlando community is now 102 members strong. With 12 new members (and counting) and many still expected to renew, our membership growth continues to remain robust and healthy. My sincerest thanks goes out to everyone who has already renewed their membership, joined our chapter and our community as a new member, and our vice president of membership, Valerie Moses, for all of your hard work on this year’s renewal campaign.
Lastly, we plan to celebrate Giving Tuesday, Nov. 29, by raising funds for our student members, led by Vice President of Student Outreach, Jennifer Vasbinder, please plan to give back to this amazing cause, if you’re able. Plus, Roger Pynn, APR, CPRC, is matching donations again this year! Thank you, Roger.
I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving holiday.
José Luis
