Title and company: Account Executive, Consensus Communications
Give a brief explanation of your job: As a public affairs and communications professional, I support clients by providing strategic guidance and representation in engagements with public-sector entities. My role focuses on helping clients effectively communicate their priorities and navigate interactions within local government environments.
How long have you been a member of FPRA, and why did you join? I have been a member of FPRA for the past two months. I joined to further develop my communications skill set and strengthen my professional network within the field. Several colleagues at my company have been long-time members and have spoken highly of their experiences, which encouraged me to get involved.
What has been your favorite FPRA event or experience so far? So far, I have attended a mixer, which was a valuable opportunity to connect with other FPRA members and learn more about how the organization supports communications professionals and serves the broader Florida community.
Tell us about an exciting achievement (personal or professional): One of my most meaningful achievements is earning my Master’s degree from the University of Central Florida. The program provided a well-rounded foundation in business and complemented my undergraduate degree in Political Science. The MBA curriculum strengthened my understanding of core business functions and has played an important role in my professional development.
What was your first job? My first professional role was as a Business Development Representative at Central Square Technologies in Lake Mary, Florida. In that position, I gained foundational experience in sales and marketing while developing a strong understanding of core business operations.
What's one fun fact about you? One fun fact about me is that I enjoy reading various schools of philosophy, particularly Friedrich Nietzsche and Stoicism.
