November President’s PRoclaimer Message

Can you believe it’s already November? The change of season is always a welcome shift, and I hope you are all enjoying the bright and crisp fall air.
I’m excited to come back from maternity leave. This time away as I dove into motherhood welcoming our baby girl, Amelia, was truly precious, but I'm eager to jump back into chapter business and collaborate with our fantastic board and our members. A massive thank you to the entire FPRA Orlando Area Chapter Board of Directors for their exceptional leadership while I was away, and especially to our President-Elect! I am so grateful for their hard work and dedication to serve our members.
The end of the year is always a busy season filled with activities with friends and family, plus it's a time to reflect on the past year and be thankful for all the opportunities and lessons learned. With that in mind, mark your calendars for a few events in December. We’re working on something really special this year: our chapter’s first volunteer day on Saturday, December 6 to support United Against Poverty, a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting families in Central Florida and helping them break the cycle of poverty. Plus, our popular and member-favorite Holiday Mixer is scheduled for December 11, and is sure to bring festive cheer for all to enjoy before the holiday rush. Both events will be free to members, so be sure to reserve your spot as spaces are limited. You can register for our volunteer day here, and registration details are coming soon for the holiday mixer, so stay tuned to our social media channels for more information. I hope to see you at one of these gatherings!
Lastly, I want to thank all of you who have recently renewed your membership during renewal season. Your continued commitment and support allows us to continue providing top-tier professional development, networking opportunities, and much more to our community of PR and Communications professionals and students around Central Florida. If you haven't renewed yet, now is a great time to ensure you don't miss out on any of the exciting activities we are planning for the rest of the year and 2026.
